The team was small, in number as well as size, but never ceased to play the game with all the courage and ability at its disposal. Meeting difficulties with courage, and overcoming handicaps make character. It is not the difficulties, but the power gained by rising above them, that builds greatness and a place of leadership. The members of our 1966 squad met many difficulties, always with courage, and strove hard to rise above them. I am proud to have been associated with this fine group of young men. Coach Vern Williams The 1966 football season was successful, in that we gained valuable experience. The boys were very good to work with, and it was my privilege to work with them. I feel this team had a very good attitude, which is of great importance in athletics. Coach Larry Williams I was proud to be associated with the fine young men at Eads High School this past football season and enjoyed coaching with Coaches Vern and Larry Williams. Looking back at the 1966-67 basketball season there are many things that make me feel proud in coaching this team. First the tremendous spirit and willingness to improve by all members of the team. Also the good sportsmanship they showed through the year. The team from the beginning of the season had their sights set high, which is a must for all good teams; they accomp- lished many of their goals. Through the regular season and district tournament they won 16 games and lost only 5, winning championship in the district tournament. I feel this is something to be proud of and as your basketball coach, I offer my con- gratulations for a job well done.
