Pep Club-1,2,3,4 Play Cast-3,4 Band-1,2 Glee Club-1.2 Paper Staff-3,4 Class Prophecy We're off to a flying start from California on our jet-propelled 1971 model bicycle tour of the U.S. And A—way we go!!! There's CBX, the famous TV broadcasting company - that building on the left. Wayne McKnight is starring in their new western series. Tank says he enjoys the work but the saddle makes his back sore. Another classmate who is famous for his Cowboy acting is Dale Adamson. He has been a smash hit in all 31 of his pic- tures. However, he has only said Yeah, Nope and I don't know. Rumor has it he may bring back silent films. But let's get on with the trip. Here in Las Vegas, we find an old friend, Keith Dunlap. Keith is making much money - he stands in the lobby of a night club, disguised as a slot machine. As we zoom across Nevada and Utah, let me tell you about our famous classmates abroad. Ramona Mays and Sharon Lovett are working in Paris as fashion models; Dick Moore is a doctor for the Peace Corps in Africa. He specializes in cur- ing tobacco. Dick McDaniels is also on the Peace Corps - in China. He has a highly technical job - teaching the Chinese to chew rice. Dan Hollis is still following John Nunnery around. He is back seat driver in John's new jet airline service. John, with the help of genius mechanic Bert Stoker, has invented a new wingless, propellorless, motorless, type airplane. He has Juanita Jacobs, who is employed as stewardess conducting a guided tour of Outer Mongolia. Let's take a side trip into Arizona, to see John Crow, who is a famous bull thrower for a national wild west rodeo. As long as we’re so close, we might as well take a jaunt into Texas. Larry Frazee and Dwight Lessenden own a ranch near the border. They are adding stock to their herd in the usual manner - wetback cattle from the Rio Grande. It's time to head North. It sure was nice to see the boys, wasn't it? This blooming metropolis is Lamar. Changed, hasn't it? Larry Krueger is a test Pile it for Marx Master Bakers - that 30 story building over there. We'll have to backtrack a couple minutes if we want to see Donna Stoker, who's still in Haswell. She was voted Home- maker of America last year, but couldn't attend the pageant because no one would baby sit with her 7 children. Here in the Eads area are several members of that long remembered Class of 1961. Peggy Buck has a million dollar a year business - the Buck Drinkwell Dairy Corporation. She is going to add chocolate milk to her line as soon as she can find some pure brown Dutch cows. Art Lane, prominent citizen of that uranium boom-town Prairie Center, has won national fame for his public speaking abilities. Ronnie Homan is car salesman and test driver for Knudston Chevrolet Company. Janet Lang is secretary to an international trucking line. She says she dispatches about 800 trucks daily, to all parts of Kiowa County. On again, let's head for Wyoming, and Joyce Hollis. She, also, is a private secretary - for the Richard Morton Com- pany, Inc. I've heard she's getting tremendously wealthy - by embezzling company funds. Here, in Pitchfork Junction, Montana, we find our dearly beloved Don Herzog, who’s a test pilot for the Sleepwell Mattress Company. In the Woody Pines Forest, we find Joan Nunnery, working as a model for a toothpick factory. Since they’ve used Joan in their advertisements, they say their sales have improved 30070 - in two weeks! Pat Delaney is in Chicago, doing good works in a school for juvenile delinquents. Also in Chicago is Lawanda Fischer. It seems Lawanda got carried away in her food demonstrating and sampling. She has become a 250.1b. well rounded individual. Sandie Johnson is working as a chambermaid for the Mayo Medical Center. Wally Mosher's part time job must have paid off. for he is night janitor for the Monty Mulligan Mortuary. Dennis Larkins is working in New York as interior decorator for public restrooms. Betty Weber and Wanda Mays, are famous hairdressers and designers. Down in South Carolina. Jerry Ritchie is setting records as a coach ... his team hasn't won a game in 10 years. Richard Ritchie and Laurene Jones are still going steady, in Washington, Richard has a big political job in the White House - his job is keeping it white. Laurene is receptionist to the President; in her spare time she sells German Chocolate Cakes in the lobby. On to Cape Canaveral, and James Rookstool, who has a job of glueing together split atoms in the new Atomic Research Center. Well, we've been all across the continent and in only 5 mi. The tour is over, and you all are free to go your separate ways, if you've paid your fees. In case you’ve forgotten, the cost of the trip is 2 1 2 herns. With an outstanding team effort, the Eagles rolled to an 8-won, 1-lost record. Several highlights of the season were the 13-6 revenge win over defend- ing co-champion Springfield, 13-0 triumph over arch-rival Fowler, and a fantastic 62-0 trompling of Ordway. Supulski's Eagles piled up a total of 248 points, holding their op- ponents to only 69 while completely shutting out four of nine opponents. Although several outstanding Seniors graduate from the ranks of the squad, several underclassmen show much promise and the Eagles are sure to have an outstanding grid season this com- ing fall. The Eads Basketball team, under the coaching of William Woelk, also made a fine showing, finishing with a 9-8 record, and second place in the Final Western Division standings. High points of the season were: a disappointing 43-41 non-league loss to Hugo, a thrilling, come-from-behind 50-48 victory over Ordway, and a 51-40 win over the Walsh Eagles in the first game of the District Tournament. The Eagles will lose several top athletes from the Basketball squad because of graduation but everyone is anticipating a good season next year. Unfortunately the Eads Wrestling team, because of having to forfeit many points every match, did not do so well record-wise, compiling a 3-won, 8-lost, 1 tied record. Several individual boys, however, had fine records. Seniors Bert Stoker, Dale Adamson, Dennis Larkins, and Richard Ritchie, and Junior Charles Campbell all had good seasons. Bert Stoker, at heavyweight, finished with a 11-3 record and won 4th place in the Dis- trict Tournament. Dale Adamson, in the 180 pound bracket, had an exceptional season, at 14-1, losing only to Banks of Limon in the District Championship. Dennis Larkins, 154 lbs., compiled a 9-5-1 record and won 3rd place at District. Richard Ritchie, at 133 lbs., also had a very fine season, finishing with a 13-3 record and caping 2nd place honors at the District Tourney. Junior Charles Campbell, at 120 lbs., was able to wrestle only part of the season because of an injury, but had a 11-3 record. At the time of this writing. Track season has not progressed sufficiently to give a summary, but several athletes are showing promise and an exceptional season is antici- pated.
