Class History September 7, 1943 was a big day for nineteen boys and girls as that was our first day of school. Those starting were: Bill Barnett, Elvin Buck, Gordon Buck, Wallace Dunlap, Jack Gardner, Victor Hainer, Bobby Mast, Darrell Nelson, Delvin O'Dell, Keith Uhland, Mary Anderson, Mary Ann Beltz, Shirley Rae Jackson, Yvonne Kerfoot, Doris Lessenden, Peggy Marie Robb, Phyllis Smith, Kay Taylor, Madonna Wissel. This was the beginning of twelve school years. Miss Jessie Morris was our first teacher to start us on die way with reading, 'tiring, 'rithmeric. We lost and gained quite a few boys and girls in our second year. We gained Raymond Wissel, Ralph Zordel, Glenn Dye, Chifford Elzey, Verna Kelley, Allie Ann Weaver. We lost Delvin O'Dell, Glenn Dye, Chifford Elzey, Gordon Buck, May Anderson, Mary Ann Beltz, Shirley Rae Jackson, Peggy Marie Robb, Kay Taylor. Our teacher was Miss Florence Morris. Mrs. Grabski was our third grade teacher. We lost Allie Ann Weaver, and we gained Peggy Kabel and Gordon Buck. When we entered our fourth year we had gained six students. They were: George Newton, Edward Smith, Gordon Morton, Dwane Spreier, Helen Freeman, Betty Rainey. We lost Yvonne Kerfoot. Our teacher was Mrs. Lois Sibcy. Our fifth grade teacher was Mrs. Legion. Our new members were Warren Howland, Glenda Dye, Carol Sue Dixon, Mary Hibler, Phyllis Woodcock, Ethel Williams, Mary Sarah, Sally Sargent. We lost George Newton, Dwane Spreier, and Betty Rainey. In our sixth year we really felt big because we were the highest class on the main floor. Our new members were LeRoy Mays, Donna Kelley, Jocyce McCracken. We lost Victor Hainer, Gordon Morton, Mary Hibler, and Sally Sargent. Our teacher was Miss Jessie Morris. Our seventh year we were really big because we were going upstairs now. Mrs. Farthing was our teacher. Our new members were Dona Lea Reiswig, Ann Louthan, Joye Lee Dobb, Finis Martin, Francis McKinney, Bob Pfingston. We lost Jack Gardner, Warren Howland, Mary Sarah, Ethel Williams, and Jocyce McCracken. Our eighth grade teacher was Miss Clara Morris. Our new members were: Carol Greenwell, Robert Hollandsworth, Duke Kennedy, We lost Joye Lee Dobb, Finis Martin, LeRoy Mays, Francis McKinney, Bob Pfingston, Robert Hollandsworth, Duke Kennedy, and Carol Greenwell.
