Flower: Gardenia Colors: Green and White With high hopes of achieving a successful year and performing efficient service, the sophomores entered into their classes and the activities of the school. Their representatives to the student council were Dorothy Newton and Henry Chriscoeg Dorothy was elected secretary of the coun- cil. Shirley Boswell was elected REG-O-ALA representative, and Shirley Love Trumpet representative. Flower: Carnation Colors: Black and White With this capable slate of officers and with this adviser the juniors ac- cepted their full share of responsibility. Curtis Stanley and Sarah Lee McCarter represented the juniors on the REG-O-ALA staff, Mary Russell, Shirley Carden, Joy Payne, Ann Euliss, Ruby Lee Chriscoe, Curtis, and Polly Robbins were members of the Trumpet staffg George Johnson, Betty Lou Hargrove, Sarah Lee, and Ruby Lee were in the student council, their song leader was Becky Sharpe. The main financial expenses were taken care of by a successful maga- zine subscription saleg the profits were used for the junior-senior banquet and a trip to Washington, D. C. Before the end of the year the juniors made their important decision about school rings and will long remem- ber the happy day upon which they arrived.
