Jt A Happiness Is a Foreign Language Those taking a foreign language strongly believe this. They study music, history, and literature in ways that these subjects become enjoyable and interesting. The language lab also plays an important part in the language student's life. Here they talk in their” language. French I and II are using new books this year that place an emphasis on vocabulary words. French III still works on the verb tenses — which is one of the main keys to the language. French history, Art, and a few books are covered in French IV while literature is gone over in depth in French V. For the French student, the variety of subjects is great. German levels deal with about the same subjects as French. Talking in complete German is stressed, taking notes that make sense is practiced, and understanding what is read is important. They also sang and danced folk dances at many school events. Spanish levels are basically the same, too. New projects this year were the painting of Spanish Mexican scenes on the walls. They also began to sing and dance using Spanish music. New filmstrips added enjoyment to class and learning. With travel growing in popularity, knowing another language is no longer an unused portion of learning. 1. Mr. Karhu and Ms. Erdman?? 2. Home Economics 3. The Listening Lab 4.
