From Then Untul Now The Hugh School was once housed wuth the Elementary School Because ofthe contunued ruse of the enrollment, ut became necessary to separate one from the other An unterested phulanthopust saw the need ofa hugh school buuldung, and became very much con cerned about ut He ummeduately donated a tract of land to the cuty upon whuch to erect a ug school bulldung The cuty government accepted ut wuth great pleasure, and ummeduately made plans to erect a hugh school buuldung that would be a credut to Bryan and Brazos County The cuty commussuon and the Bryan Board of Educatuon have provuded comfortable educatuonal faculutues for the youth down through the ages, so, thrs gesture was quute un lune wuth theur plans by September l93l As tume moved on, the enrollment uncreased, thus malcung ut necessary to add more rooms to take care ot the uncrease The curruculum expanded also, and a Manual Arts Buuldung was erected to benetut the boys at tendung hugh school Wuth these addutuon, the school has made rapud progress and has accomplushed worthwhule obuect tuves outluned and planned by those un charge We are proud to say that Kemp us acceduted by the Assocuatuon of Secondary Schools and us entutled to all scholastuc recognutuon resultrng therefrom Alma Mater Alma mater Dearest, we love and Cherush memorues of you only you Hearts forever loyal to you so royal our alma mater!
