FUN TIMES OF 1975 SEPTEMBER 4. was the beginning of the school year for our excited boys and girls! ON OCTOBER 15. Sue Cheney and Kathy Schwein scented the school with a bake sale. The funds from the sale were donated to the tax levy committee. OCTOBER 18. was an in-service training day for teachers. On that day, teachers enjoyed a delicious luncheon, lovely music, and the inspiration and profundity of noted educational leaders. NOVEMBER 26. will be long remembered as the day of the annual RINK'S DINNER PARTY. Santa greeted the buses with a HO-HO .and Merry Christmas . Once settled inside the Evendale Community Center we were served a delicious Thanksgiving dinner! Afterward Mr. Willie Thall, Master of Ceremonies. introduced all the guests and the show began. First to be introduced, was Mr. Joe Nuxhall who delighted the children with his talk of baseball. Next came the clowns who en- thralled the children with squeals and laughter. Then came the chimps from the Cincinnati Zoo, who rode bikes, scooters and balanced them- selves on a huge ball, to the amazement of the children. Finally, Santa came back with his bag of gifts for good children and teachers alike. Thanks to the wonderful people of RINK'S, our holiday had an additional special meaning! DECEMBER 12, Dyer School provided the area superintendents of schools with a luncheon. after which they visited the various classrooms to say hello to children and teachers. ' DECEMBER 16, Sparky and the firemen visited our school and spoke about safety at home during the holidays. The firemen showed their red fire helmets. raincoats. and big rubber boots to the children.
