Styx In Memorium Keith Simmons 1962-1979 Far from the madding crowd's ignoble strife, Their sober wishes never learned to stray: Along the cool sequestered vale of life They kept the noiseless tenor of their way. Thomas Gray 4 JAR. i..-.1-1 the moon was full tonight and it shone masterfully through the trees. those trees standing hauntingly by the marsh: somewhere my mind wandered down lost paths of life searching . . . for we are stranded in the laughter of our own souls. and bumping into other lost wanderers of the nights i found all my shades of vality are encased in drowning brooks that flow into questioning nothingness: nevermore shall we have to face this: our home lies waiting in our hope. and it must shine masterfully in our hearts. - d. dowd now we begin the dawn of life where we leave behind childhood and set foot on destiny's path, leaving the days of climbing trees and dollhouses and midnight visits of the tooth fairy. identities are being found and we are striving for freedom and the independence we desire is now close enough to touch. the sand castles we have built have all been washed away by the new tide and we begin again with the dawn on the horizon shedding light on the path of life. - y. r. the ribbons of time flow in the multi-colored rainbows these rainbows. twist and turn shaping an intricate pattern the pattern. not unlike a web or the lines on your face are only yours the dark ribbons of your time weaving entangle the clearness of the future yet, the bright ones welcome you to venture beyond the rain tears to the warmth of the light rings where the rainbows unite - kjb true friendships live and are beheld by two. like sun which spreads its golden rays to earth: between two people loyalty stands true. of tender feelings and of blessed mirth: but like the clouds when covering the sun. a dimness sets in to obscure the way that was invented when they had begun the loving friendship of their yesterday. with more intensity than ere before. their bond as two became more than just friends: the two as one began their lives with more. through making sure their friendship has no ends the sun is constant. a n'er ending thing: so are two friends and all the love they bring j.C.. j. m. 9 get smart everybody was out of control when kaos hit the d.h.s. stage on decem- ber 7 8z 8 with the senior class production of get smart. would you believe that 100 senior classmates costumed themselves in trenchcoats and glasses to present the wildest, funniest, craziest theatrical produc- tion ever to grace the stage? well they did and it was a tremendous success enjoyed by all. under the incredible, impeccable directorial talents of pat weatherlow and jeff brodford, the versatile and dynamic cast performed with enthusiasm, professionalism, and jocularity. the suave, intelligent maxwell smart: the beautiful, cunning 99: the se- ductively evil mr. bigg and the blus- tery, hardsnosed chief led the way, stumbling and gliding through the successful production. despite some chinese menu distrubances. all went well and glory was the culmi- nation of hours of hard work and a total group effort. the old control agent in the bus locker trick. 10 how does this thing work? y'all from control? where are the menus? battle of the network stars yup' YUP' YUP' Yup does Somebody hear a phone rlngingi I I ll 10 , 'N X it's vacation time in the city agent . . , 69? 1 , . - A the score was 99 to 86 1 l Y N r 5 i P 1 KI i u . 1 Y I Ri- i'm , , , mr. big We're bugged! you're hurting me? 11 1-' .i ,- -if ' , t l the junior class of duxbury high school invites you to lady our 1979junlor prom featuring smgkg dunphy resort, hyannls may 18, 1979 6:30 Pm sf. fw- L 2 ' A The Iunior Prom - an event filled with anticipa- tion. preparation, elegant gowns and stiff tuxedos. marks an annual tradition at D.H.S. The Iunior Prom. held on May 18. 1979 at Dunfey's of Hyannis, com- bined all of these elements to create a very memo- rable evening for all who attended. Dancing to the music of Smoke and lounging in two rooms drenched in rainbow streamers. we all enjoyed a great time. However, because any team in the league is capable of beating any other team on a given night. the league title is still up for grabs.
