The bay is calm for a time But like an endless sea of waves We are motivated towards a distant shore For our youth has suddenly betrayed us. No longer are we able to understand the forceful pull of the tide Our anchor, once strong and true, has given way. We raise our sails We set our courses Through the restless waters of an unpredictable seag For us alone it is an adventure. The sky beyond is clouded . The sky behind is clear Some of us will choose a familiar course and round the horniwith ease, We are the followers. Some of us will chance our ways and challenge the sea itself, We are the adventurers. We are older but more distinguished We are hesitant but less fearful. We are voyagers on the horizon.
