1 l Wardroom F6675 4.1-1 LCDR J. R .I FARRELL USN Executive Officer LCDR john R. FARRELL reported to the DUX- . BURY BAY in October, 1963 . He was originally assigned as the shipls Navigator . In April, 1964, he relieved CAPT LYONS as Executive Officer when the Captain moved up to take command of the ship. LCDR FARRELL came to the DUXBURY BAY from Patrol Squadron Two at Whidbey Island, Washington, where he was engaged in subma- rine reconnaissance flights . LCDR FARRELL, a Naval Academy graduate, is married to the former Miss Gloria Maxwell' of Kansas City, Missouri. uxbugf Bay is C0 CAPTAIN ROBERT F. LYONS, USN Captain james W. CONGER came to the DUXBURY BAY in june l963 from the Office of Chief of Naval Operations in Washington. I-Ie assumed command While the ship was in the Middle East and was with the DUXBURY BAY during her entire in-port period in Norfolk, he also had command during our crossing to the Med Where he was relieved in Naples loy CAPT LYONS. CAPT CONCER is presently Commanding Officer of the USS WASP CCVS-185. Present F owner Captain Robert F. LYONS assumed command of the DUXBURY BAY from Captain CONCER in Naples in March 1964 . CAPT LYONS reported on board in january l964 for duty as Executive Officer, taking command upon CAPT CONGER'S transfer and had command during all of our stay in the Middle East CAPT LYONS came to us from Patrol Squadron Thirty Where he was Command ing Officer . CAPT LYONS, who entered the Navy in May l942, is married to the former Therese Barloe of Westwego, Indiana. and Paul, and currently reside in Nor- folk, Va. tCAPTAIN JAMES W.
