CLASS HISTORY Un a bright sunny mornlng of August, l9u5, twenty two young sters came up the school walk for their first time They were wanda Cockrell, Frank Colllns, Darol Bell, Joe wood, Ronald Hen sley, Calvln Bachmann, Gabbart, Janice Baker, Yvonne Conway, Johnnie Donna snowden At the Winston shlndell, Glynda Cecll, Willie Wilbur Hensley, Morris Hensley, rearl Hall Knight, Ruth Lamb, Elaine Widener, and end of the year, Janice Baker, Wilbur Hen sley, rhll York, and ratsy Baker left our class The start of the second grade found us with renewed interest and courage we gained Dwight Parks, Barbara Hughes Ray Barton, and G A, stamper, and lost Morris Hensley, Arla Christian, Yvonne Conway, Ruth Lamb, and Donna snowden During the third grade, we lost one more than we galned by losing rearl Hall and Johnnie Knight, and only galnlng rhllllp Jackson The fourth grade placed us half way between the first and the wlghth grades This year we gained shlrley Vaughan, Jlmmle Vaughan, and Jerry Reeves We lost Jerry Reeves, Dwight rarks Ray Barton, and G A Stamper The flfth grade brought us Genave smith and John uwens, but John uwens also left us at the end of the year We broke even during the sixth grade we galned Jackie Blng ham, Loretta Flowers, and Charlotte Tice, and lost Jackle Bingham Barbara Hughes, and Venlta Kirk ratiently awaiting graduation and the eighth grade, we went through the seventh grade year with no gains and Genave smith as our loss Finally we reached our first plateau, the EIGHTH GRADE R L Knight and Monty smith were our gains and Loretta Flowers and Willie Gabbart were our losses Nevertheless, we had sixteen ln our graduating class They were Wanda Cockrell, Frank Colllns, Darol Bell Joe wood Ronald Hensley, Calvin Bachmann, Winston Shlndell, Glynda Cecil, Willie Gabbart, Elaine Widener, shlrley Vaughan, Jlmmle Vaughan, Loretta Flowers, Charlotte Tlce, R L Knight, and Monty smith After gettlng over our Freshmen Inltlatlon, we finished the nlnth grade with no gains and losing Llalne Widener, Charlotte Tice, and R L Knight The tenth grade brought us no gains and still three losses They were shlrley Vaughan, Jimmie Vaughan, and Montv smith Our Junior year we gained sharon Davis and lost Glynda Cecil This was a full year of banquets, ballgames, and class trlps Now we have reached one of the milestones of our llfe gradu ation from elsewhere, things you bless you graduating high school Many of us will continue our education but from all of us we would like to thank you for the have done for us through these past years and may God Since we have had no gains or losses this year, we are with eight They are Calvin Bachmann, Darol Bell Wanda Cockrell, Frank Colllns, Sharon Davis, Ronald Hensley, Winston Shlndell, and Joe Wood S - - . t 5 u n I .
