Where the Action Is: Junior A Hockey with Bobby Orr, former Oshawa Genera s star. The Civic Auditorium has ample facilities for various religious conferences. With a stage erected at one end of the floor area, the entire auditorium is transformed into a theatre for a musical Variety Show. The Annual Sportsman ' s Celebrity dinner held at the Civic Auditorium in honour of outstanding athletes. Full width drapes turn the floor area into a large enclosed dining room for banquets or conventions. Lacrosse in action. The Oshawa Green Gae s, five times Canadian Junior Lacrosse Champions, play all their home games at the auditorium to capacity crowds. The first public appearance of the Canadian Armed Forces tAilitary Tattoo took place in the Civic Auditorium. A stage can be erected for concert performances, and with special lighting and wide drapery, the entire auditorium becomes a concert hall. Over 5,000 people can be comfortably seated for conven- tions by combining the seating facilities in the spectators ' section and the seating room on the floor area, giving everyone an unobstructed view of the speaker.
