To the Class of 1965: The world today demands so much of you in the way of the dimensions of excellence in education. The faculty at Durfee has striven to inculcate a capacity for inquiry, problem solving competence, and the means of communication and computation. To some of you the vision of the future has been etched very sharply and its dependence on education made clear. Some of you have received satisfaction from day to day rewards at school and know what you have to do to carry out your plans for the future. Still others have been passive to all attempts to kindle the spark of independence and will need more time to mature. To all of you I would like to extend my best wishes and sincere congratulations.
