IN MEMORIAM GREGORY A, CROOK Our years at Durfee have been memorable, but not without tragedy. We were all moved by the untimely deaths of three members of this grad- uating class. “Why” we thought when we learned that these students, part of Durfee and part of ourselves, had left us. Linda Rosenstein died during our Junior year. Although she had been at Durfee for only three months, her outstanding attitude and personality were imparted to her classmates. Keith Hymes, a well-known student and member of the baseball and soccer teams, was in a fatal highway accident last Summer. His sense of humor and outlook on life also contributed to that of his fellow students, Gregory Crook, student-scientist and popular member of the band and orchestra, had a tragic underwater accident at the beginning of our senior year. He, too, gave of his time, energy and £ resenee to others. Linda Rosenstein, Keith Hymes, and Gregory Crook would have graduated with us. However, their contributions to both social and academic activities will live on with the undying spirit of our school. We, the Class of 1965, devote this page to the memory of our deceased friends, hoping that we will make use of what they have given to Durfee and ourselves.
