To You, The Class Of 1962: “Sunt sua praemia laudi”. “Worth finds its due reward”. I know that this admonition expresses the innermost thoughts of the members of the graduating class of 1962. You have accomplished an educational objective and have set for yourselves high standards of moral value. I congratulate not only the fine graduates of the class of 1962 of B. M. C. Durfee High School, but also, the parents who have made this possible. You graduates possessed not only the native ability to pursue successfully a course of study, but inculcated in you was a sense of responsibility to live up to this God given gift. The example and guidance of a dedicated faculty enables you to approach your graduation in possession of high spiritual qualities, mentally keen minds, and the physical characteristics of a healthy body. It is my wish that in your future lives you enjoy good health, much happiness, and earned success. Endure to the end, and reserve yourselves for better fortunes.

“
To the Members of the Graduating Class of 1962 of the B, M. C. Durfee High School: It is indeed a pleasure to have this opportunity to extend to the B. M. C. Durfee High School Class of 1962 my sincere congratulations and best wishes. In the years ahead, you will recall I am certain, the pleasant years you have had at Durfee. Wherever you go, whatever your future will be, you will be a part of the great stream of Durfee graduates, who have made contributions of various kinds all over the world. You go forth to a challenging time — one in many ways the most exciting of all that have gone before. The world differs from what it was in the past in that it demands increasingly higher measures of intellectual interest and achievement as well as increasingly higher standards of conduct and social concern. I am certain you will meet these standards and that Durfee has provided for you a firm foundation on which to build them. Again my very best wishes! Superintendent of Schools.
