Secretary Treasurer Moderator Musically and scholastically this has been a good year for the sisters of Beta Chi Beta Sorority. Beginning the fall semester with their Carnival Show, The End Turns , the sisters portrayed nurses in the comical portrait of hospital life. They participated in Carnival with the Gamma Phi Fraternity. They copped the second place trophy in the annual Creek Sing competition under the direction of Donna Mentkowski. The Beta Chfs sang Let There Be Peace and Sophanaric Philosophy . Scholastically the Beta Chi's received the Scholastic trophy as the sorority whose members combined have the highest over-all Q.P.A. for a semester. Rich Falvo was the Beta Chi Beta sweetheart. B. Secretary Treasurer Moderator Sigm a Lambda Phi Battle Beck Buck Burti Ciotti Clark After a weekend at Geneva-on-the-Lake, Sigma Lambda Phi commenced the school year with practices and preparation for Carnival. The show, produced in conjunction with Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity and based on the book A Tree Crows in Brooklyn was awarded the second place trophy at the Carnival Ball. The annual Alpha Phi Omicron-Sigma Lambda Phi lecture, held on November 20, hosted folk singer Iudy Collins in afternoon and evening concerts, and was considered such a success that a repeat performance was arranged for the spring. The sorority recontinued their bi-monthly lecture series, Patterns in Contemporary Thought during the second semester and sponsored such faculty members as Mr. Flanagan and Dr. Schrynemakers. For Greek Sing this year, Sigma Lambda Phi, under the direction of Ian Tedesco, selected El Sombrerov and Eternal Life, the sorority prayer.
