E ' '11 :Ziff 12.4 Mary Ann Parks Combining beauty with intelligence and talent, Mary Ann has demonstrated her academic and social leadership by her involvement in varied campus activities. A Dean's List student, Mary Ann has capably served both Alpha Phi Omicron sorority and the Pan-Hellenic Council as President. Adapting her literary talent to sorority life, she served as Carnival Script Committee Chairman for two years. Her ability to organize was seen when she acted as Chairman of the sorority lecture for one year. As an active English major, graduating cum laude, Mary Ann contributed to the Duke, L'Esp1'it Du Duc, and Duquesne Magazine. Because of her academic achievement, she was a College Bowl nominee and the recipient of an Honors English Scholarship. 227 William D. Peresm an In his four years at Duquesne, Bill could best be described as a leader among leaders. Serving Duquesne in many ways, he held membership in the Student Govern- ment Association, the Student Congress, and the Red Masquers, and was treasurer and vice-president of Alpha Epsilon Fra- ternity. Well-wortli noting is Bill's academic success in achieving the Deanas List seven of the eight semesters he was here. M eye-:rs XValt Meyers was an example of the harmonious inter- action of scholarship with extra-curricular activities through which he made outstanding contributions to the Duquesne family. History maior on the Dean's List for four years, Wfalt held membership in Sigma Tau Delta, the Debate Society in his freshman year, L,Esprit Du Duc and VVDUQ. He actively participated in the Red Masquers as a director, actor, and author. The Duquesne magazine was led to successful publication because of his contributions as editor, writer, and artist. For his creative talents, lValt was awarded the 1962 Drama League Award and appeared in XVho's lVh0 Among Students in American Colleges and Universities. 226 it-i Susan A. Muto For the past four years Sue Muto has been an outstanding student, worker, leader, and personality on Duquesne's campus. The honors and awards she has received in the field of journalism and as Editor- in-Chief of the Duke are simply two numerous to list. Her participation at the first U. S. Youth Council on Human Rights, her membership in the WDUQ Radio Guild and Sigma Phi Delta, social sorority - all these serve to make the rainbow of Sueis personality more colorful. Recognition was given to that personality by a place on the Deanis List, a nomination to the College Bowl team, and a listing in YVho,s W'ho Among Students in American Col- leges and Universities.

BI-igette A. Petroski A student of Business Administration, Brigette was active in many phases of campus activitiy. She is probably most well known for her vivacious participation in the Duquesne sports picture as a cheerleader and member of the Pep Club. Active in sorority affairs for three years, she has served Tau Delta Tau as Pan Hellenic Representative, Treasurer and President. Not neglecting her academic pursuits, Brigette won a place on the Dean's List and was a member of Epsilon Eta Phi national xvomen's business sorority, and the Re- galia, Insignia and Emblem National Committee. 228 ai-f mtl is Ronald Quinn Ron was one of the few students given the opportunity to carry the name of Du- quesne to the public before graduation. A major in the School of Music, he was not only a member of Duquesne's Sym- phonic Orchestra and XVoodwind Quintet, but also was principal bassoonist of the All-Pennsylvania Symphonic Orchestra and a member of the Xllheeling Symphony. Ron gained further prominence for him- self and Duquesne by ably captaining the College Bowl Team. For his accomplishments, he was placed on the Dean's List and appeared in lVho's iVho Among Students in American Colleges and U niuersifies.
