Hall of Fame L,Esprit Du Duc annually honors those seniors who have made outstanding contributions to the university, not only in academic achievement, but in extra-curricular service. This year sixteen stu- dents were awarded certificates and named to the Hall of Fame at the first annual Senior Awards Day, sponsored by Student Congress. Nominations were accepted from the deans of the different schools, the heads of departments, and all organizations on campus. Those students receiving more than one nomination were selected as final candidates. Their names and qualifications were submitted to the Student Wfelfare and Special Activities committees and through combined bal- lotting the final sixteen Were chosen. The follow- ing pages are devoted to these students. The purpose of the Hall of Fame is not only to recognize outstanding seniors, but to give Wit- ness to their attitude. Each member has made an active contribution and commitment to Duquesne. No paper certificate nor Words of praise can equal the results which this attitude has already achieved in personal development and influence upon others. If this attitude of self-giving reflects that of the entire university, every student is honored in the Hall of Fame.
