A year with the Red Masquers included: The . . . XrVorks of Albee, Synge, Cersteinbcrg, Lorca, Saroyan and Gorki. The . . . Sounds of spray, plastering hair, the click of a light switch, boxing gloves smacking together, a boom- ing voice crying, Do you hear me boy? , the stamp of Bernarda's cane, the strum of a guitar, prop movement and the curtain pulley. The . . . Sights of a sandbox, a park bench, a bundle of wet clothes, a fallen boxer, a conceited baron, a Spanish casa, glass case reflections, and a Russian cellar. It was a year that began with an empty stage because of class scheduling but ended with Director Samuel Melfs awards in May after two major productions and several one-act plays that added to the ever-increasing prestige of the determined director and members of the organization. Among the many awards given at the Masquer's May banquet were the best actor and actress trophies. Ac- claimed as the best actor was Tom Atkins. The best actress awards were presented to Terry Hague and Alice Vinoverski who tied for the top honor. Director Sam Meli Linda Kelley Jane Cooper and Julia Meyers

Duquesnels ambassadors of good Will, the traveling Tamburitzans, completed one of their most successful seasons during the past year. New and old members begin the season early with rehearsals in summer camp at Lake Nebagamon, XVis- consin. Daily program in camp for the thirty member organization from eight in the morning to nine at night, included drills, dancing, singing, orchestra and orien- tation of the cultures of different peoples, accenting the Southern Europeans. The twenty-seventh season for the Tamburitzans be- gan with a peformance at All Nations Hall in Canton, Ohio. One highlight of the year occured in Miami, Florida when Mayor Robert High presented Tammie Director XValter Kolar with the key to the city. Aboard Becky,', the Tammie bus, the members pass time studying, playing cards, knitting, croeheting, talking and sleeping on their way to performances.
