Serving as chairman on the Duval County Student Council Commit- tee for the juvenile Shelter drive, all member schools were assigned months in which to gather much needed articles. The Mr. duPont Contest, a Twerp Dance, and the Halloween Carni- val were the main fund raising functions. As it has been the custom in past years, delegates were sent to this years Southeastern, State, and District Student Council Conventions. UILL AN CROLL The duPont Chapter of Quill and Scroll, Inter- national Honor Society for High School Journalists, consisted of thirteen members in 1963. Membership is limited to duPonter and Alidupan staffers who have done outstanding work on these publications and who are in the upper one-third of their class. The organizations chief purposes are to reward faithful service, to encourage high academic and journalistic standards, and to create an interest in journalism as a career. l 1 l M iv 3 am Q ln I M M, in Left to izght Front row Mrs Burnice Norwood, Julie Cann, Sybil Evarts, Cecelia Federspicl, Renee Slutzah, Lee Cone, Dana Dunbar Second row Buddy Nlorton Daxid Hutchings, Glenn Flach, Curt Glick, Kathy Marshall, Sid Sack. 47
