'I' 'One hour prior to the end of this banquet. . . The Latin Banquet again proved to be a success, as hordes of makeshift Romans crowded into the gymnasium the night of March 23. After a week of slave-buying, the Latin students enjoyed a Smorgasbord dinner Qnot of direct Latin origin, but still appetizinglj and a great deal of entertainment. Sophomores Larry Rooks and Cookie Hubbard reigned as Emperor and Empress, accompanied by the royal court, consisting of Laurel Urban, John Swa- luk, Mary Jane Glick, John Coalson, Ann Howard, Karl Hanson. Entertainment for the evening included a ballet by Leana Lucas, a triumvirate of Latin folk singers, and a scene from the Roman kiddie show, Skipper Publius.
