LIBRARY T FF Half of knowledge is to know where to Find knowledge-and for this reason the library is per- haps the most vital reservation of any school-To seek the re- sources of reference, the news of headlines, or the fun of fic- tion, the library offers the facili- ties to improve these interests. Throughout the year, Miss Roberts and Miss Hilton have tried to increase the efficiency of the library. Together they have 55 Carol Hilton worked so that the students would have the best selection of books and periodicals. By the efforts of these people we are as- sured that the library will con- tinue to serve duPont well. 1-ll Qs K5 i 5 xi gg., in Margaret Roberts

FIE RT To help the student express him- self and to fill the creative needs, the fine arts have a vital part in developing the well-rounded per- sonality-The art, choral, and band students offer a variety of activities to appeal to the in- terest of any student who would choose this as an elective. As evidenced by this yearls ac- tivities, interested students were quick to undertake projects. In addition to class work, the art department put samples of their work on display in the main hall. These included sketches, painting, sculpture, and ceramics. Many new techniques were worked with and developed. The chorus and band were up to their usual high standard this year. The chorus entertained us with beautiful Christmas music at the annual Christmas pageant. The band supplied half-time music at the football games and made a trip to Philadelphia to be in a parade at Thanksgiving. William Highbaugh William Swor 140 Bob Middleton

AUXILIARY ERVICES Custodians-Jack Broughton and Jeff Morisett. One of the necessary functions performed for the citizens at duPont is the preparation of nourishing tasty lunches by the competent lunchroom workers. The lunch shifts provide 30 min- utes of rest and relaxation in the cafeteria. Maintaining the lunchroom and all campus build- ings is the duty of school maids and custodians who provide a healthful place in which to learn.
