It is through this efficiently run office that the students grades, records, and transcripts are kept in order. The dates and places where nation wide tests are given are made known through this office, as are the scores made on the tests. How many credits do I have? Which courses shall I take in high school to prepare me for college? Which college would be the best for me? These are the questions that Miss Hartley and Mrs. Legge answer every day. The heart of any school lies in its records, ably kept and here when they are needed. Small groups of students are those who assist in the running of ad- ministrative and guidance depart- ments. Even though the importance of their contribution is not fully recognized, members of these groups perform helpful functions for the school. Without an efficient oflice staff to keep the records straight, what would a school amount to? Included in their work are the duties con- nected with registration, records, schedules, conferences, guidance, and attendance. There is a tremendous responsi- bility entrusted to the administra- tive staff as they attempt to make duPont an even better place in which to prepare for the future. june Moody Anna Post 138

FIE RT To help the student express him- self and to fill the creative needs, the fine arts have a vital part in developing the well-rounded per- sonality-The art, choral, and band students offer a variety of activities to appeal to the in- terest of any student who would choose this as an elective. As evidenced by this yearls ac- tivities, interested students were quick to undertake projects. In addition to class work, the art department put samples of their work on display in the main hall. These included sketches, painting, sculpture, and ceramics. Many new techniques were worked with and developed. The chorus and band were up to their usual high standard this year. The chorus entertained us with beautiful Christmas music at the annual Christmas pageant. The band supplied half-time music at the football games and made a trip to Philadelphia to be in a parade at Thanksgiving. William Highbaugh William Swor 140 Bob Middleton
