Many duPont seniors are aware of the necessity to understand themselves better before they have the responsibility of contributing to the progress of the world. Because of this interest, the Social Studies Department offers three courses specifi- cally for seniors. International Relations studies the current world affairs. World History surveys man's cul- tural progress as an attempt to give an insight into current problems which may have had roots in the past. Problems in American Democracy is a course designed to explain the political, so- cial and economic workings of our nation. Mr. Charles Mims Miss Elizabeth Taylor The Social Studies Department feels that stu- dents, first of all, must have a knowledge of Am- erican History and Civics.
