KEY CL B Leadership, scholarship, willingness to work, and good personal character are four necessary qualities a boy must have to belong to this busy, international organization. With the help of the Southside Kivsanians, and financed by the sale of light bulbs, Little Theatre tickets, and book covers, the Key Clubbers work together to better the school and community through their many service projects. This year saw the Key Club busily collecting food for needy fam- ilies in a Thanksgiving drive, presenting an orientation pro- gram to the student body, and cleaning up the school grounds. This was in addition to polishing the trophies monthly and helping the Orthopedic School with their Christmas arty. Aside frldm strictly service projects the Key Clubls social highlights were the Parent and Son Banquet. at which the memberis parents learn about Key Club and its objectives, the Student Leaders' Banquet, honoring all club presidents. and the Sweetheart Dance. one of duPont's outstanding so- cial events. 120 OFFICERS-Left to right, hrs! row: Wendi Lindsay. SIGMA Y-TEENS To build a fellowship of women and girls devoted to the tasks of realizing in our common life those ideals of personal and social living to which we are committed by our faith as Christiansf, This is a part of the YWCA purpose which Sigma Y-Teens cn- deavors to uphold throughout the year. The clulfs service projects. benefiting the school and community. and its social activities helped to accomplish this pur- pose. Early in the year. the Beatnik Ball, sponsored by this Y-Teens, proved duPont the home of many beat- niks and was enjoyed by everyone. The house party after graduation, the interesting programs at the weekly meetings, and other activities added up to a very profitable year for Sigma Y-Teens.
