'fr 'Mena My Uga- .W P we K After defeating Englewood. the team played a very close and exciting gznne with Fletcher. Andy Charnhliss stared in the overtime period with two haslcets and fine defensive play, helping us to win. The dul'ont eagers trounced llihault and Paxon. lnut dropped a game to jackson. The thrill- ing Kenny game, in which the lead changed hands several times. was climaxed hy a seoring spree which enabled us to win. After holding the lead for some time. we dropped another close one to Landon. We won the tournament in Fernandina, defeating Fernandina, Englewood, Parker. and Kenny and were presented with the District Cham- pionship trophy. Thus gaining a lwerth in the State Tournament, the Dragons drew Graeeville as their first opponent. Despite the surge of effort in the final minutes of the game. we were unalule to mateh the score of Graeeville, who aequired the majority of their points from foul shots. Roy lVlulhall was chosen for the seeond string All-City team. while Frank Adams and Spence Stewart received honorable mention.
