BETA Y-TEENS ENDEAVORS T0 SERVE COMMUNITY These Y-Teens, eager to be of service to their community and to create a fellowship of Christian girls, carried on many projects and activities this year. During football season they made posters for the Kenny game and sold lapel-size pennants. Later, special checkerboards, toys, and bean bags were made for the Orthopedic School. The breakfast held in October was a surprise to all the girls who were awakened in the early hours of the morning. They supplied a need family with a Thanksgiving basket, Christmas presents, and household articles. In January, they sold candy bars and enjoyed a mother-and-daughter luncheon. Many interesting programs were presented at their meetings. Among the speakers were repre- sentatives from Alcoholics Anonymous and the Telephone Company. Filmstrips from the Y.W.C.A. and panel discussions were also of interest to the club. The club's program helped the girls to grow mentally, physically, and spiritually.
