F TURE TEACHERS GAIN PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE The Future Teachers, Club is designed to give those students who think they would like to be teachers an insight and clear understanding of the Held. The mem- bers are given opportunities: to teach an occasional class, to have many opportunities in public speaking, to compete for teaching scholarships, and to attend the many socials throughout the city. The Future Teachers, Club is comparatively new at duPont and is just getting into the nswingv of things. In addition to lui-monthly meetings. the club attended monthly county-wide meetings. The members inspected an ambulance. made trips to the blood bank and the laboratory at the Baptist Hospital. They also gave a party for the 1.-hilflren's ward at Baptist Hospital. fs SENIOR GIRLS SPONSOR CHRISTMAS DANCE With heads filled with ideas for the Christmas Dance. the Senior Girls began preparations with several fund raising projects. They got early experience in several different vocations. The girls became chefs and dish- washers at the Spaghetti Supper. glamorous fashion models at the Fashion Show-Game Party Where such novelties were given away as a jar of peanut butter and a bag of grits to some lucky ticket holder.
