Become Desirable Citizens Left to Right: Barbara Camp, Maxine Strauther, and Cynthia Upchurch are pointing out three maior powers of early European history. ln World History, by studying the actions and reactions of man's past, we hope to be able to think clearly and with an open mind about the problems of our present and thus become active and desirable citizens in our Democratic Society. A study is made of various social topics which are vital to an understanding of the relation of the past to the present. In World History, we are able to become acquainted with many of the govern- ments and social movements of the past and apply that which is good and eliminate that which is undesirable in our social and political thinking of today.
