Principal s Message Three years ago it was my pleasure to join you as your principal From the very first day of our association I felt that here vias a group of young people with high am bitions and genial aspirations In this I was not mistaken for you have never failed me in the many constructive programs of your school Without your cooperation eagerness and enthusiasm I might not have been able to carry on During this time your number has more than doubled You have born patiently the inadequacy of our building equipment and the beauty that contribute to the highest moral standards You have made your school famous in many activities and have won for yourselves throughout the state and nation a place of honorable re cognition It was Emerson who said If a man can write a better book preach a better ser mon or make a better mouse trap than his neighbor though he builds his house in the woods the world will make a path to his door By your eagerness to excell you have unconsciously vtritten the motto for your school namely Where Only The Best Is Good Enough. In view of this fact let me admonish you never to allow yourself to dwell too much upon what you are getting for your vsork. You have something of infinitely greater importance greater value at stake. Your honor your whole career your future success will be affected by the way you do your work by the conscience or lack of it which you put into your job. There is everything in holding a high ideal of your work for whatever model the mind holds the life copies. Whatever your vocation let quality be your life slogan. For the poet says If I were a cobbler it would be my pride The best of all cobblers to be' If I were a tinker no tinker beside Should mend an old kettle like me.
