From sun and fun they gather on the practice field to begin three months of grueling practice and contest. Hopeful coaches dream of a perfect season. Lettermen foresee a season of achievement, while rookies aspire to prove themselves. They practice. Practice drags darkness into the scene, bringing coolness and the promise of rest. But soon the stadium comes alive to the roar of enthusiastic fans and the clash of green and red, The first taste of victory for green. The green makes Dunn High proud. Patches of brown appear in the green as de- feat is tasted. It is true that the Dunn fans do not get a perfect season, but the unyielding efforts of the fighting green bring honor to our school.
