Class Prophecy As I sit here looking through my annuals of our good old School Days , I recall having seen some clippings of my classmates of 1958. Paul Ayers has now invented the new Rubberless Tire . Emory Powyer and Alfred Paxton are known world-wide as the Skating Crazies and have been joined in their act by Shirley Hubbard. Joe Bowyer is really having fun at his new job. He pulls on the average of ten teeth a day. If you want to see the wrestling Wonder Boy, turn to Channel 10 on Wednesday nights at 10:30. He is really Berlyn Bratton. Bruce Cooke is now settled in Gap Mills . He recently addressed the Lions Club on the topic How I Learned to Stop Talking. Allan Fridley has his own chain of furniture stores. Just recently I saw him cutting a maple tree beside the road. Dana Humphreys entered the Indianapolis 500 this year. His Purple and Gold car came in first, of course. Lt. Manuel Meadows of the U. S. Marine Corps is now stationed in North Africa. His family recently joined him there. Jack Turner has finally pitched a no hit game for the Cardinals. His only comment to ace woman sports reporter Sue Martin was Caram- ba, quiero el beisbol. R. N. Mary Sue Bell is head nurse at Dallas General Hospital in Texas. She commutes from her home at Moss Run. One of the nation ' s foremost inte rio r decorators, Patty Bradley, just completed her favorite job. She decorated the home of her old friend Janet Treynor, who recently married a successful Covington T. V. repairman. The color scheme was pink. Policewoman, Nancy Carte rc aught Bill Jonas speeding in his little Satellite . She wanted to sentence him to ten years on the moon, but Judge Sidney Kirby let him off with a warning. Betty Howard and Pat Carter are known world-wide as the Lula Rock -A -Hula 1 s . They will appear at the Alleghany County Fair this year . Arthur Murray instructor, Martha Mentz of the Covington area has recently taught Howard Dameron to do the Mambo. Janice Surber has written a very interesting account of her life as amissionary nurse among the Native s of Africa the book is entitled, From the Frying Pan to the Fire . Lewis Me. is now star player for the All-American Knights. Shirley Fridley is now chief cheering instructor for the three C ' s (Carper, Cochran and Campbell) at the University of California. She finally made it. Linda Wilson is now driving instructor for the Dunlap students. No wonder Loving ' s Funeral Home has such good business. Enough of this day-dreaming. I must prepare dinner for a family of four and then be off to the Health Center, where I have been director since I finished Nurse ' s Training at Clifton Forge. Phyllis Morris, Prophet
