Class History The 1955 senior class of Dunlap High School had its beginning early one September morning in 1944 when Gloria Brubaker, Carol Lewis, Ruby Powell, Sylvia Wickline, Charles Smith and H. B. Kersey started to attend school for the first time. Juanita Hubbard joined us in the second grade from Boy’s Home. Nancy Bostic came from White Sulphur Springs to Dunlap in the third grade. In the fourth grade, Delbert May joined us from Falling Springs. In the fifth grade, Larry Morris, Randolph Webb, Clifford Booth, Buddy Ballard, Sammy Rogers, Rodney Kirby, and Dallas O‘Connor came from Callaghan School to Dunlap. Patsy Jones, Annabelle Meadows, and Sally Martin joined us from Hunter School in the seventh grade. 1951, and we entered our freshmanyear of high school. Katherine Ail- stock and Leona Broughman came from Jeter and Earle Ray Cooke al¬ so joined us the same year. In the Sophomore Class we were joined by Jean Bess from White Sul¬ phur Springs, Bobby Nicely from Jeter, and Roberta Walton from Fal¬ ling Springs. David Webb and Darrell Martin also joined us that year making a total of twenty-seven. The high-light of our junior year was the presentation of the Junior- Senior Banquet at Reid’s Grill in Covington on April 9. We received our class rings at the banquet. The class officers of our Senior Class are Buddy Ballard-President, Annabelle Meadows-Vice President, Gloria Brubaker-S e c r e t a r y and T reasurer. Some of the main events of our senior year have been publishing our our annual, THE REFLECTOR, presenting the Senior play and last, but not least, our commencement exercises. The graduating class of 1955 ha s a record number of twenty -six graduates. Class Historian, H. B. Kersey
