Story: The year--2000 A.D. The Scene--the annual class reunion The altunni are just beginning to gather for the reunion. Dunlap has changed a bit from the place it used to be. D.H.S. now has 23 floors, and two-hundred ten rooms--of course, it still has only 210 students but facilities are more comfortable now. The first to arrive is J. M. Romersberger in his limousine. I-le married a millionairess several years ago and is now owner of the YMCA--Young Millionaire's Cash Association. From talking to Mike Watkins, it seems he is doing as well as old Jim. Mike is the director of the FBI. I really never realized how brave, dar- ing and adventurous he was to assume the highest position in Fuller Brush Incorporated. Steve Raistrick's old nickname of Captain has really held true. He's now the kiddies favorite-- Captain Kangaroo. Strangely enough, Janet Lair is press secretary to some kangaroo. Remember Frann Matthews? She took a busi- ness course in high school. Now she can type 298 words a minute and is happily married to an IBM Machine. Dr. Bill Bearden is here too. Also his nurse, Judy Koehler, is with him. Judy has a really difficult job just caring for Bill since he faints at the sight of blood. And here come Sue Plattner and Keren Herr- mann. They're editors of the new national maga- zine, OFFBEAT. Lynne Wilson is here. Lynne models for the I dreamed Iwas commercials. Guess it's a carry-over from old high school days when she was always dreaming about something for someonej. Alice Jones is here from location in Holly- wood. She recently finished the reproduction of Take Care of My Little Girl in which she played the part of Mother Apple. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Arriving with Alice was Colleen Thurman, head beauty consultant at Fox Studios. Those Hi-Fashion courses paid off. , Jack and Janice Sniff are here, too. They're part of the few who stayed around Dunlap to watch it grow. There is Steve Podgorski. He has on hunting clothes and is carrying a gun. He's a professional hunter, you know. QHE l-IUNTS GIRLSQ. There's a group of boys who used to spend a lot of time at the Farm Restaurant. The group included: Bob Johnson, Jerry Down, Jim Carlile, Tom Cline and Joe Dunlap. Bob Johnson is now working with the Red Cross. He is in charge of disaster areas--espe- cially FLOODS. Oh, remember how tall and slim Jerry Down used to be. You'd never know him now--he's a 5'3 tall, he weighs 159 potmds and he's as ballad as an Eagle QA Dunlap Eagle., Wasn't it Jim Carlile who was such a whiz in math in high school? I remember that he got a 28 on a Trig test during his senior year. Now he's developed the Carlile Theory of the Uni- verse--everybody's square. Tom Cline has turned into a regular Bob Ctunmings. There are five girls with him today. His friends call him Playboy Puff. I heard old Joe Dunlap is doing well for him- self. His paper route now includes Dunlap and Princeville. Congratulations, Joe. Pat Lewis is President of the first national Girls' Athletic Association--for girls over 50. Marie Mclntyre was the charter member. Jackie Down is famous now, too, She holds the record as the world's fastest talker. fC0ntinued on page 53j
