Another year, filled with the bright and bitter joys of human experience, is finished. The important as well as the insignificant happenings of the year will become dim and hazy, like the school on a foggy, misty day. And so, for you, the 1966 RAIDER ... to bring these memories back more clearly in years to come. There were some undeniably bad days and plenty of headaches, but the good times, Ron's off-guard snapshots, and the rewards of accomplishment kept us going. As always, problems arose, but the “panic button went untouched thanks to the help of the entire staff. As the last bit of copy is proofread and the RAIDER goes to press, many mjxed emotions are in the air. There is a feeling of exhilaration to think that the results of nine months work are taking final form. There is also a touch of sadness as the ideas of only a few months ago are put in print. Deadlines have come and gone. The year is over now, as is the task to which the staff has dedicated themselves during this time. We are proud to present to you, the students, this 1966 RAIDER. For to us, it is “the best ever because it became so much a part of us. We sincerely hope it will bring enjoyment to you. We shall sing and be glad with the days as they fly In the time that we spend in thy halls. And in sadness, we'll part when the days have gone by, And our paths turn away from thy walls. Till the waters no more in thy river shall run, Till the stars in the heaven grow cool, We shall sing of the glory and fame thou hast won And the love that we bear for our school.
