Initiation Initiation was exciting for both the seniors and the freshmen. The superiority of the seniors dominated over the various activities planned for the new high school students. The freshmen wore ridiculous costumes and brightly colored faces. Throughout the day the underclassmen were bowing to the Mighty Seniors and doing the required tasks for them. The afternoon program consisted of laughs which entertained the entire high school student body. Four senior judges--Claudia Eldridge. Lyle Matthias, Kay Miller, and Don Christian --gave Randy Jones the title of Space Astronaut.

Football The Raiders, though young and inexperienced, battled their way to two victories against six defeats. The squad consisted of only one senior. Despite their lack of size and experience, the Raiders placed two players on the All-Conference teams. Jim Hauptly, senior back, and Bill McNellis, junior center, were selected on the alternate all-conference team. The outlook for next year looks much better for the Raider football fans than it has for several seasons.
