Student Council Serving the school as leader this year was Robert Happel, with Gary Miller as Vice-President and Judy Kirkpatrick as Secretary-Treasurer. The Student Council was responsible for many things which included the first Homecoming ever held at Dunkerton and the Annual Christmas Party. They also worked with the cheerleaders in purchasing school banners, pins, etc. Selling refreshments at all home basketball games was also one of their many tasks. SITTING: Gary Miller, Robert Happel, Judy Kirkpatrick. STANDING: JoAnn Miller, Rita Ritter, Margene Bailey, Glen Anderson, Richard Turner. MISSING: John Weber. Mirror Staff The Mirror, the Dunkerton School Newspaper, was published the first of each month. The senior class was responsible for publishing the Mirror and 17 members of this year’s class pitched in to help make the publication a fine representative of the Dunkerton Community School. Planning the Mirror each month were Gary Miller and Patsy Rekers —Co-Editors. Besides the regular staff members, the grade teachers and class reporters also helped by supplying the news from their particular classes. Meeting the deadline was difficult at times but the results were usually rewarding.
