The Faculty This faculty consists of fourteen kind, yet firm, guiding individuals who have helped us through our trials and triumphs during the past year. Here they are as you see them: This ends J. L. Larson’s tenth year of teaching. Five of these have been spent as the guiding star of D. H. S. He is worthy of the place, and we extend our gratification and good will to him. He obtained his B. A. degree in 1922 at Iowa University, and teaches economics, glee club, dramatics. and is general supervisor. Miss Campbell has given seven years of loyal service to D. H. S. She reigns in all her majesty and rightly so, for the freshmen must have someone to help them after being green for a year in Junior High. Miss Campbell was 'age granted a B. A. degree at Cornell College in 1923. She teaches English and history, besides having the regular duties of a principal. We will remember Miss Campbell as a very good class sponsor. The Dunkerton athletic teams have been most successful this year under the supervision of Mr. Hartman. For the past three years he has been our coach and mathematics teacher. Mr. Hartman received his B. A. degree from I. S. T. C. in ’28. The elements of science and agriculture have been expounded for the past ten years by Mr. Jefferson. His undergraduate work was taken at Iowa State College, where he was granted a B. S. degree. One of the most successful branches of the County Library has been at our school this year. Much of the success of this plan has been due to our very capable librarian, Mrs. Conlisk. Besides this work Mrs. Conlisk teaches Latin and English. She is a graduate of Des Moines University, and has done graduate work at Iowa University. Now we come to the king of Junior High as he holds a firm hand over the seventh graders when they come up the stairs to “high school.” Mr. Bielefeldt teaches manual training, bookkeeping and typing. Miss Emerson received a B. S. degree at Iowa State Teachers College. She teaches the art of home economics and English. They are very important and necessary to the welfare of all. The work of the school band has been done this year under the direction of Miss Peick. Besides instrumental music, Miss Peick has charge of music in the grades and the girls’ glee club. Miss Peick is a graduate of Upper Iowa University. The following teachers have work in the primary ami intermediate departments: Thelma Smith, Bernice Nesfield. Clara Boyle, Marie Tierney, Viola Koss and Marcyea Weeks. Four
