Senior History Thirteen years ago the Class of 1957 began its career at Dundee Central School. At the time we thought little of later years but as time progressed we were determined to be- come the best class that has passed through the doorways of D. C. S. After seven years we hit the first plateau, Junior High School, then two years later, Senior High School and now we're Seniors. Let's look at the things we have done in Senior High School. In our freshman year we were a bit green but we managed to survive. For our class play we presented a satire on TV's Arthur Godfrey and Groucho Marx. In the spring we had a wonderful picnic at the fairgrounds, under the supervision of Miss Spencer and Mr. Ballard. Activities in our Sophomore year came more easily since we were now more experi- enced. We sold felt letters to augment our treasury. Scrambled Eggs was the title of our la directed b Mrs. Frank. The class icnic at Watkins Glen rounded out the ear's ,ry y Y P Y activities. The Junior year was started off by selecting Mr. Wallace as our class advisor. Ac- tivities for the year consisted of the paper sales and the Christmas card sales both of which were very successful. We started printing a school newspaper which was well received by the student body. Our play, which was directed by Mr. Wallace, was entitled Hill- billy Weddin'. Who could ever forget Ma and Pa, alias Joan Trenchard and Bob Huber? The Junior Prom was a huge success thanks to the students for getting dates and ioining in the evening of fun. The last and most glorious year is drawing near an end. We have Mr. Wallace as our class advisor and Don Davis as class president. The magazine sales were very suc- cessful. We established a new record in total sales. Special thanks is due Bruce Robbins who did a bang-up iob in getting subscriptions. In order to get a different atmosphere at the Senior Ball we devised a different and new way of decorating the gym. Half the gym was used for dancing while the other half was used for the chaperones and lounging. The theme of this year's ball was Winter Fantasy. Once again we presented our class play two nights. This year, under the direction of Mrs. Utter, we produced On the Night of January l6th. We are now eagerly awaiting the Senior Trip to Washington, Junior-Sen- ior picnic and our most cherished goal, GRADUATION. It is our sincere wish to those who follow, that their years in D. C. S. might be as fruitful and challenging as ours has been. f' . .1 i g ef . ..---of 6
