Activities This year has been happy and enioyable because of the participation in class activities by all stu- dents. Let's start with the Freshmen who are in their first year of high school. Their first activity of the year was a very successful Christmas party. Then they entertained us very well with their assembly, written by the class and directed by Mr. Ballard. They are looking forward to their class picnic this Spring. Next are the Sophomores, who also had a successful Christmas party. They are now working on their class play and are planning for their picnic at Watkins Glen. By sel ing Scotsmen pins at home basketball games t ey are earning money. Now come our rivals, the JUNIORS. They took over the aper sales last spring and are doing very well on it. Their Christmas card sales were very successful, and added to their treasury. Their play, Spring Fever, is cast and practice is in progress with Mrs. Weil directing. Also l might mention their beautiful class rings they received early in the school year. The Junior co-advisors are Mr. Velesenti and Mr. Witter. It has been fun having the class of '58 as our rivals and hope they have much success. Now comes the mightiest class of all- the SENIORS. If all Senior classes have as much fun as we have had, they can say high school was a success. First off, came our play, The Night of January l6th, which was directed by Mrs. Utter. Every practice was very lively and after the first produc- tion we had a party at a member's home. Next was our magazine sales. Although we didn't surpass our goal, we had the greatest amount of sales, moneywise, than any other class has had at Dundee Central. During the Christmas vacation we had a basketball game, between the alumni of '55 and '56 against the varsity squad, and a dance. Incidentally, the alumni trimmed the varsity. In Jan- uary came the Senior Ball. Mary Cronin and Kevin Considine, her escort, were chosen Queen and King and reigned for the evening. Other activities which have increased our treasury are ice cream and candy sales. Coming up is our Senior Trip, Junior-Senior picnic, the day when the faculty gets trounced by the Seniors, and last, but not least, GRADUATION. We are indebted to the faculty for helping us attain our goal, but our special gratitude goes to Mr. Wallace, our advisor, who through the last two years has fathered us in the right direction with the greatest success. Mr. Wallace, you'll rate supreme in the book of any member of the Class of l957. C0444 22
