Ignaszewski The Student Councilofthe Dun- dee Central School is comprised of a groupof students chosen from the various homerooms from seventh grade to twelth grade inclusive. The purpose of the Student Council is to make laws beneficial to the students, are to see that the stu- dents abide by these laws. They also take part in various programs suchas Career Week,electing cheer- leaders, and approving managers for the school athletic teams.They also award the white D's. Students who have been elec- ted to this council should feel proud as it is one of the highest honorsa student in high school can obtain. Hr! ,' 3 In September l9b8 this chaptercf the National Honor Society held its first meeting of the year At this meeting we elected the following of- ficers: Dick Bailey, president, V1- rginia Dlugosh, vice-president, Jo- sephine Dlugosh, secretary, and Lu- cienne Hubbell, treasure. One of our first projects of the year was an attempt to raise money for the purchase of various Honor Society pins. As the half year mark arr1ved,we found it was time to initiate cer- tain new members who fulfilled the requirements necessary for Joining the Honor Society. Among the new members were Janet Grace, Joyce Gardner, and Elizabeth Duby. They were inducted in an assembly pro- gram before the high school.
