HCTIVITIES x x', if T if I KX' :Q J pm J Q53 Ce-5' 'rx There have been many enjoyable activities throughout this school year. Members of the Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Senior classes have participated in their indi- vidual class activities. First we'll take a glance at those fresh, young Fresh- men. Fbr them, it was starting out their fun with a glori- ous hayride on a beautiful night in October. Most of their class went and also some invited guests. Refreshments were enjoyed by the nHay-ridersn following their ride. They have added 616.00 to their treasury so far this year. We are looking forward to seeing the Freshmen play which will be coming soon.' This takes us up to see what the Sophiclated Sophomores have been doing. They also started out with a hayrlde in October--seems to be quite the sport this year. This class is getting rich pretty fast now for they are selling paper, pencils, erasers, and such school supplies in the corridors before school and during the noon hour. They tell me they are gaining on the profit. The Sophomores also will present us with an entertaining assembly program scheduled for April 8th this year. This is the class in which Johnny Cadwell has been known to us as nElmer' in their play series. The Stanton girls, Jane Kleckler, and the rest of the play cast put on these comedy plays like real actors. The Sophomore class surely can do it so we'l1 be looking for your play again this year. The rival Juniors! Hayride? Of course! Everyone else had one, why couldn't they? They switched theirs over into November. They made much profit this year selling Christmas Cards. This is the rich class! They got their classy Jr. rings this ear too We ho e to see the annual Junior play Y - D and hope it will be a big success. We are also looking for- ward for our Junior Prom in May. This is the dance of which Miss Carolyn Hall was queen last year, remember? Good luck and best wishes to the Junior Class. Here we are! At the top of the list-is our mighty Senior Class--we think. This has been a busy year for us. Of course, I must tell you first of all that we had a hay- ride in October! Yes, this was much fun. To remind you we really-did have one, I bring to your minds a girl who went around with two black eyes and a swollen forehead and nose. The only hay-ride casualty, Alice Griswold. We then had a square dance here at the school with a new orchestra, the nTuney Rhythm Makers.n We had a big crowd and lots of fun. We d1dn't make as much as we expected, but a lot of hard work by the Seniors put the dance over. We have sold Ever- sharp pencils in our school colors, Christmas wreaths, and beautiful napkins. We really made a profit on the napkins. Then came our Senior play under the direction of Mrs. Utter. The play nN1ght of January l6th,n put on the nights of Nov. 18th and 19th was much different from any put on in Dundee. It was a courtroom play with a jury selected' lfrom names in a boxj from the audience each of the two nights. The play cast really put on a swell job. 'The bored judge, AldenChad- wick, was really swell. The two attorneys were nD1ckn Petersen, prosecuting attorney, and nDickW Bailey, defense attorney. nPeggyH Wells, posing as Karen Andre, was the de- fepdent on trial for her life. She was found not-guilty the first night, and guilty the next night. The Junior play, put GC Q ar Z3 ,p 9 .r fr 1 X69 on by this same class last year was also a great success. The Seniors are looking forward to their trip to New York. Right now they are busy working on their 'Highlander,n Senior Ball and other activities to come during the year. The Senior Class thanks Mr. Witter for his invaluable service in making our yearbook successful. We, also, thank Mrs. Sullivan and Mr. Morse, our advisors, for their great cooperation throughout the year. Good luck to our fellow classmates. 25 Peggy Wells
