PROPHESY A gay party was held June 26, 1956 for the reunion of the class of 1946, at the estate of our advisor, Mr. Melvin Webster now Governor of New York State. The place was beautifully decorated with blue and silver, our good old class colors. While we were waiting for our late arrivals the telephone rang and who should it be but Anold Lent, now married to Anna Mae Shrauger, and an Admiral in the U. S. Navy. He explained that he and his wife were just leaving for Europe with Ensign and Mrs. Bill Emmons, the former Evelyn Travis, and they would not be with us, Just then in walked Mr. and Mrs. DeMunn who had just come from Georgia. John is now coach at Georgia Tech and his wife, Alta Rose to us,keeps busy taking care of their family. When everyone was quiet once again Gabe Bellis, now sports reporter from the New York Tribune, told us about his meeting Mr. and Mrs. Roy Anderson at a baseball game not long ago. Roy is manager of the St. Louis Cardinals and his wife, the former Phyllis Green, acts as his secretary, He also told us about meeting Janet Peelle, now a famous dress designer in N. Y. C. and we were all surprised to hear that she was still single. ' The next arrival was Chester Kumerosky that famous scientist and of course his secretary'DorothW Bryant was with him. Chet demonstrat- ed one of his new inventions to us and much to his amazement he used to much sulfuric acid and it exploded. It was a good thing we had four nurses, Clarissa bymonds, nna Dlugosh, Arloine Morley and Virginia Woodard, who took care of Chet and soon we were back to normal. Of course there wasn't a dull moment during the meal with Dorla Rice relating her experiences as secretary to our N. Y. 5. Senator, Franklin Baker, and Jean Sistek describing her preparations for her wedding the following month. When we finished a delicious meal we were entertained by Luther Perkins and his famous orchestra, which was touring the country and just happened to be in Albany. Mrs. Perkins, the former Lucyna Bartuslak, is the soloist for her husbands' orchestra. We also were entertained by that famous singer of stage and radio, Joy Sullivan. In our midst was a very talented violinist, Eleanor Paddock, who now plays in the NBC Symphonic Orchestra. While the evening was still young Mrs. Raymond Millard, the former Hazel Lane, informed us thdzshe and Ray had to leave immediately by plane for their ranch in the West because they were having a terrible dust storm out there. Agnes Taylor also had to leave early because she was leaving the next day to take her place as a missionary in China. We wished them luck on their long journeys and again started relating past experiences. We were all surprised to hear that Jean Cadwell and Barbara Hall were still unmarried and teaching English and History respectively at Columbia University where they had graduated some time ago. Mrs. Patrick Sullivan, nee Claudia Symonds, is now manager of Iszard's Tea Room in Elmira Binge her sister got a higher position. We received the news from Washington from Mrs. Howell, the former Ida Mae Ribble, whose husband ls now Secretary of Agriculture. As Dolores Ward, now Homemaking teacher at Dundee and Dorothy Waugh, Business instructor, were telling us the latest gossip from our old home town, in popped Peggy Wilcox. She said that she got lost coming from Syracuse, where she teaches Math., but we all had our own ldeas. Before ending our gay celebration Maude Dencenburg and Shirley Emery told us of their exciting dates since they became secretaries to rich business men in N. Y. C. What a life! In 0l0SinS we BEDS our old school songs and after all the goodfbys' were said with great feeling we sang 'God Be With You Till We Meet Again ' Barbara Hall 18
