.-A. .K -5 X ' - in -Skin '--1----.L.'-. nunaanuiua ll,u W rf u-AS3 HTST'R' -i c f 'E qt Now,'at last we're Seniors Sometimes we wondered if we'd ever make ' - and we re sure our teachers had their doubts tco Anyway, here we are - and we'd like to tell you of the many exciting things we've done in our four years of high school In our Freshman year there were ten in the class Me were fortunate in having for our teachers Mr James Rutledge, Mr Fritz Tacobs Mrs Johp Jones, Mr Thomas Conwell, Ars Gler Steiner, Mrs Tom mhomas, and Miss Ruth Shane Early in the year it happened' lhe Seniors iritiated us and how At the close of Initiation Day there was a high school party erjoyed by one ard all Later in the year we sold milk as a morey making project As this year came to a close we lost a member of our class, Kenny Gerber AS Our Qgphgmpgg year began there was the same number in the class as Jimmy Van Fo sen joined our select group During this year we sold Basketball schedule pencil Sweatshirts and T Shirts and also pennants and emblems As our te chers, Mr Conwell, Mrs Steiner and Mrs Tom Thomas remained Our new teachers were Mr villiam Lewis, Nr Ernest Ike Wiseman, Miss Sue Hill, and Miss Marjorie Sill In May, the class and many guests enjoyed a hayride At the strrf of our Junior year there w re onlr two changes in t ache hr Paul Wood replaced Mr Wiseman and hiss Mary Naust was the music teacher At this time Jimmy Van Fossen left the class and we continued with a class of nine, four girls and five boys Again this year we sold Sweatshirts and 1 Shirts and Basketball schedule pencils we also sold candy and potato chips during the noon hou fe spon ered a hillbilly show and a Donkey Basketball game wkich was enjoyed immensely by everyone As our tribute to the Seniors of '52 we entertained them with an exquisite banquet at the Smithville Inl on April 18 Later that evening we attended a show at Shines Theatre in Wooster At the close of the school year we also moan cd the Sen't1s J th a weiner roas ' and hayride We had a complete new staff of teachers as we entered our Senior year with the exception of Mrs Thomas Other teachers included Mr I h Gephart, Mrs John Jones, Miss hath r waltz, Mr George Mourouzlsj hrs l Ya ey, Mr Paul a J einland, Mr James Pfeiffer, Nrs Richard hllwood, Mr William Bennett and Mrs Juanita Ynoll Dxrlng the year we were unfortunate in losing Mr Mourouzls cause of thls incident we acouired two new + chars itz and Ars Carol Yackey Our class officers were the sale as in our Sophomore and Junior years, Dick Fruchey, Pre ident, Wayne Bauders, Vice President, and Elsie Price, Secretary Trea urer We held the annual Halloween Dance on Oct 28 Marvin Miller's Orchestra furnished the music in our beautifully decorated gym We also sold Christmas ar and sponsored another Donkey Basketball same A few days before Christ the high school enjoyed a party in the gym which was a big success due mainly to the hard work of Dick and Wayne Other money a' ng projects included selllrg refre hm nt at baslotball games and we ran th ch PL the C unty and Sectioral tournaments In the spring we sponsored another hillbilly show We are now nearing the end of our journey as our Baccalaureate services are on May 17 and our Commencement excercise on May 19 General Clay Products o S d V 11 F q 1 Baltic Ph 50 ponsore by Dives?
