The club was represented at the Training Center held at Indiantown Gap by two members of the club, Janet Spease and Joyce Auxt. 1 Q5 Q gf Cafeteria Sta ff The proof of the success of any undertaking lies in its continued growth. This year's growing pains' resulted in several evidences of our cafeteria's advancing maturity. The kitchen equipment made room for new large kettles, double boil ers etc. For the primary groups new divided all-steel trays holding the bottle of milk and the desert on an even keel and three dozen new servmg tmys added to our former pile makes the bother of cleaning thou used earlier on rush days a chore of the past. Ten of the widely advertised folding all-aluminum tables let the boys encourage the girls to help prepare the gym for dining, also the new folding chairs with rubber smubbers on the feet provide for the lucky ones restful visiting after eating. The service for the cafeteria trade has been improved by the addition of a second steam table which is placed on the gym floor, thus permitting simultaneous streams of customers, and the purchase of a fourteen cubic foot deep-freeze unit which has been placed in the Home Economics room to be used in conjunction with courses there as well as for the proper storage of all purchased foods has greatly reinforced the economy side of the food budget. Another step forward is signified by the addition of a second skilled cook in the cafeteria kitchen. Mrs. Helen Shatto has been the chef for five years, and this year has been assisted by her daughter, Mrs. Lillian Bryant, both of whom attended the institute held by the State Educational Department and from which each received a certificate upon completion of the course of instruction in School Lunch Workers Training.
