The HHS-49 edition of Longhorn basketball deserves considerable prai-e. They played all of their games without practice between games and showed up remarkably well. A look at the half-time scores will show that in only two ball games were the 'Horns hopelessly behind. As the team was not in shape, they could not cope THE B TEAM SQUAD with the Hre-horse brand ol' ball their opponents would employ in the last half. The team won 3 out of l2 regular season games. In the Eighth District Tournament it was the satne old story. The 'Horns led at the quarter mark, 9-8. At the half they were 4 points behind. The second half was all East, as they literally ran us to death. lfirsl Ron'-XYalter Hall, Porter Nlontgotnery, Haskell Tidman, MANAGERS Sberron Weinberger, Fowler Hollabaugh.
