Student Council The Student Council's priorities include initiating and organizing student activities. The members also established new food services for the cafeteria, wrote a new constitution, and sponsored Homecoming. For the first time in years, the Council required all class officers for the following year be elected this spring. A committee selected by the Student Council prepared a new 1978- 79 handbook. Andra Harris, Rachelle Garcia, Kristi Elmer, Dianne Moore, Melissa Peru, Orson Merrell; David Martinez, George Cuthbertson, Gabriel Munguia, and Don Tellez (Sponsor). Not Pictured: Pete Hamilton, Debbie Williams, Kaylene French, Doni Fisher, Debbie Norte, Jenny Sanchez, J. Brad Miller, and Sonia Peterson. The National Honor Society pays tribute to students excelling scholastically at DHS. The club is comprised of juniors and seniors who maintain a 1.5 average during their tenure at DHS.
