1 Mrs. Bernice Miller, teacher of vocational home economics and English, came to Duncan in 1957. She holds a B. S. degree from Iowa State Teachers College. In addition to being principal, Mr. Bruce Miller is head basketball coach and teaches a class in general business. His B. A. degree was earned at Simpson College in Iowa, and his M. Ed. in Ad- ministration at Arizona State College. Mr. Miller has completed six years at Duncan. The youngest and the tall- est of Duncan's faculty is Mr. Don Nilson, holder of a B. A. degree from Brigham Young University, and teacher of algebra and general science. He came to Duncan last Sep- tember. Mr. T. M. Pace, a native of Virden, New Mexico, came to Duncan in 1956, and teaches vocational agriculture and shop. Mr. J. W. Santee, a teacher of music and driver training, came to Duncan in 1930. He has a Bachelor of Music degree from Bethany College, Linds- borg, Kansas. Mrs. Nathalie Van Gundy came to Duncan in 1946. Her subjects are English and journal- ism, and she is librarian. She received the B. A. degree at Monmouth College and the M. A, degree at the University of Illi- nois.

Mr. Floyd Chapman, who graduated in 1949 from DHS, received the B. Ed . degree at Arizona State College. He teaches Ameri- can history and American government, geography, and physical education, and is head football-coach and assistant basketball coach. He came to Dun- can in 1957. Mrs. Vera Power Dull came to Duncan last September to teach Spanish and English. A graduate of Mesa High School and of the University of Arizona, Mrs. Dull returned to Arizona after living for twenty-five years in the state of Michigan. Mr. H. T. Clothier, a graduate of Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas, and holder of the M. Ed. degree from Colorado State Col- lege, Greeley, has been in Duncan since 1931 He teaches art and all commercial subjects and coaches the tennis and volleyball teams. FACULTY Duncan High School now has a staff of eleven teachers, the eleventh having been added this year. Mr. Don Nilsen came to relieve Mr. Hawkins and Mr. Levinson in the fields of mathematics and science. Duncan teachers manage to keep them- selves and their students busy six periods a day, five days a week and sometimes after school and on week-ends too. Mr. Fred Hawkins, a graduate of Grand Canyon College, teaches mathematics and assists with football. He is also head base- ball coach. Mr. Hawkins has completed his third year at Duncan High. Mr. Geoffrey Levinson presides over a busy lab, teaching biology and chemis- try. He received his B.S. and M.Ed. degree at the University of Arizona, and has studied there and at Baylor University on grants from the National Science Foundation and the Atomic Energy Commission.

Mrs. McEuen keeps her- self and her girls busy for the entire Duncan school system, and she is never too busy or too tired to help students and faculty.
