V. __________ — THE WILDKAT f 1958 X Published by THE STUDENTS of DUNCAN HIGH SCHOOL Duncan, Arizona one FOREWORD As the desert plants in this 1958 WILDKAT show the West as we love it, so the WILD- KAT in later years will show Duncan High School as we have grown to appreciate it. When we look through this book in the future and see our old friends and the teachers we came to respect and grow fond of, we will also think of this land which means so much to us. We of the WILDKAT staff of 1958 hope that always, in the future, when you are re- membering DHS, you will get out your WILD- KAT and, remembering your years at Duncan High, will enjoy the memories. To the memory of our friend and schoolmate. Bob Nations, we dedicate this 1958 WILDKAT. Through the two years he attended Duncan High School, Bob was a friend to everyone. All of us enjoyed his sense of humor, and everyone shares good memories of him. Bob's love of life was evident in his jokes, his conversation, and his actions. A great loss is felt because of his leaving us so early and taking these things with him. So to Bob Nations, we dedicate this 1958 WILDKAT. Page 3 DEDICATION MR. ALFRED AT Clerk MR. W. M. CLA MR. L. The season may be considered quite successful, especially because a number of players were new, including three freshmen. However, the jinx that had haunted Dun- can teams in the past two years followed the girls to the tournament in Clifton, where the Trojanettes put them into the consolation round, and the fighting Benson Bobcats elim- inated them from the tournament in an over- time game with the score 27-25. The Duncan second team won ten games, losing only to Pima and E. A. J. C. BELOW: Seniors Barbara, Darelyn, Lynette, Alice, Renae, with Coach Clothier. TENNIS GIRLS' FIRST EIGHT: Coach H. T. Clothier.
