Top row: Frank Hudson, Ioe Moore, lack Bolander The Duncan Student Council began in I938 with the adoption of the constitution by the student body. The council began to function the following year. The Council was organized not to assist in solving disciplinary problems, but to aid in en couraging and sponsoring school activities. The per sonnel of the Student Council for 1946-47 is corn- posed of the president, vice-president, and secre tary-treasurer elected by the student body and six teen representatives elected by their respective home rooms to serve for one school year. Under the able guidance of Miss Mary Black and Bolles, Iimmic McDonald, Larry Hubbard Robbie Lou , Betty Lou Lowry, Eva Lou Green leadership of Bill Hall, the Duncan High School Student Council of 1946-47 has had one of the most successful years in its history. Besides sponsoring many projects and student activities during the year, the Duncan delegates secured the vice-presidency of the Federation of Oklahoma High School Stu- dent Councils for D. H.
